Audi will present the Q5 and SQ5 with a completely refreshed design for 2025, while retaining gasoline engines.

The new models, which will hit the market between next spring and early summer, will not have hybrid versions initially, but a plug-in hybrid option is expected to be introduced later.

The new Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) platform, which underpins both SUVs, is expected to be the brand’s last gasoline platform.

The design of the Q5 and SQ5 includes a new large front grille and OLED rear taillights that can display different light patterns to alert other drivers about sudden braking or accidents.

The Q5 comes with 18-inch wheels as standard, while the SQ5 starts with 20-inch wheels, offering larger options. The rear of the vehicle also features a third brake light that projects a light pattern onto the rear window to enhance visibility.

The engines for the new models include a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine producing 268 horsepower for the Q5, and a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine producing 362 horsepower for the SQ5. Both SUVs will be equipped with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Fuel economy is expected to be similar to the previous generation, with approximately 11 kilometers per liter for the Q5 and 9 kilometers per liter for the SQ5.

Finally, the interior of the new Q5 will be updated with two large screens and an available heads-up display, providing a more advanced and enhanced technological experience.
